Autoclave is a massive chamber can generate high heat and high pressure. When pre-preg carbon fiber cured in this environment the quality of the carbon is always very consistent with almost no air bubble, which reduces the part's integrity. We've been producing autoclave carbon parts for aero industry for years and only recently the process has become economically reasonable to produce small production parts for motorcycles. Our current chamber cure carbon parts at 1,000 psi (7 MPa) and at 300~350 degrees Fahrenheit (150~180 degrees Celsius).
